Not New

EYT Pilates Teacher Training was started in 2008.  The picture above is from our first studio photoshoot in 2009 -- the fading just shows you how long we've been around.  

We think this is important because there are so many new teacher training programs on the market now that it's hard to decipher one from another.  They teach their own "method" and use rudimentary materials.  

We want you to know -- we are seasoned professionals who have developed, expanded and refined our program over nearly 20 years of on the ground real life experience.  

Not Cool

Instagram makes all things Pilates look sleek, curated and just plain cool.  I love looking at all the gorgeous studios, outfits and movements as we scroll. 

But that's not who we are.  We are the nerds. We aren't about aesthetics, we're about the work. We commit our free time to refining our tools to help you succeed.  Our value is in our experience, teaching skills and support system we provide. 

We appreciate the cool kids for who they are, and hope they appreciate us our nerdiness.

Not Assholes

This reflects our humor as much as it reflects who we are.  Pilates has a reputation for being elitist, inaccessible and dare I say -- "mean-girl" adjacent.  We see it in the battles about what's "real" Pilates and what isn't.  The debate over Classical versus Contemporary and the litigious nature of many of the industry leaders.  

That's not our jam.  Our mission is accessibility, support and kindness above all else.  There's enough meanness in the world today - we do what we can do to make all feel welcome and successful.
